Message 21 - Amanda Jepsen-Vargas
Being new to South Carolina I was checking out the local library. While there I came across The Laws of Bound Hearts and The Lavender Hour. Having already read The Laws of Bound Hearts I check out The Lavender Hour. I was unable to put the book down until I was finished. The book had so many life lessons. It made me a little homesick to hear about some of the Cape landmarks but I am happy to be enbarking on a new adventure. I hope you and Hillary are doing well.

I recently found your book Entering Normal in an advance reading copy at a rummage sale and fell in love with the book. I read it in two days and I am so impressed with your ability to represent these two womens losses in such fallible ways. I was totally inspired to go out and make a new friend and to lend an ear or hand to those I can tell so deperately need someone just by the look on their faces. I am also really paying attention to all the signs in my life. Thank you! Hopefully I will be able to read some more of your books soon.

Hello Anne,
I just finished Leaving Eden, wiping tears from my eyes. I truly loved the book, the characters, everything about it. It was especially interesting to me as I am from Lynchburg (currently living in Roanoke) and certainly could indentify with the hot summers, and the town where everybody knows everybody. I really appreciate your gift and look forward to reading the rest of your collection.
Best Regards,
JuneBug Price

Webmaster comments   Dear JuneBug,

So glad you enjoyed LEAVING EDEN. I really missed having Tallie in my life when I finished the book and so am glad she is living on for others.
Your name is also the title of one of my very favorite movies with Amy Adams. Did you happen to see it?
Anne

I read The Lavendar Hour yesterday at work. I am lucky to have a job where I can read. I loved this story. I fell in love with Jessie and Luke.I was almost wishing for a miracle. I worked closely with hospice in an assisted living faciity and know what it takes. I will be reading more of your books.

Hi Anne
I purchased The Lavender Hour at the Brewster Bookstore this past Wednesday and had the pleasure of meeting you too. The Book is WONDERFUL. I just finished it and Wow! You created wonderful, real characters who stay with me for quite sometime. Your insights were very interesting and quite thought provoking. Thank you!
